Each day the NHS give an update on virus-related deaths at hospital trusts in England in the previous 24 hour period. These are cases where a patient has died within 28 days of a positive test or where Covid-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.
Today four new deaths were announced at Greater Manchester hospitals. Two occurred at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) which runs numerous hospitals in the city, and two by Pennine Acute who run several hospitals in the north of the region.
