PHILADELPHIA - Officials say the search for a shooting suspect is ongoing after the individual evaded police and SWAT outside of a West Philadelphia residence. According to police, officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Farson Street just after 1 a.m.

PHILADELPHIA - The fire siren at Langhorne-Middletown Fire Station doesn't sound often, but when it does, the whole community knows. The volunteer fire station located in a rural Bucks County suburb averages less than two calls per day, and received less than 650 last year. "The only time that siren blows is when somebody calls 911, so we're not blowing it for the heck of it," Fire Chief Frank Ferry told FOX 29's Hank Flynn. Still, a growing number of community members have called for the "disruptive" siren to be removed in favor of a more advanced alert platform. "It's a quiet town, it's like Mayberry here, and the siren is disruptive," Councilmember Scott Haldeman said. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify four suspects wanted in connection with a triple shooting in West Philadelphia that left teens injured. According to authorities, the shooting occurred on the 1500 block of N Frazier Street on Monday around 4 p.m. Police say a 13-year-old and two 16-year-olds were injured in the brazen broad daylight shooting. Officials say that the 13-year-old, who was shot in the abdomen, was transported to LankenauMedical Center and placed in critical condition. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOne 16-year-old was shot five times throughout his body and transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition, according to police. Authorities say the other 16-year-old was shot in the abdomen and taken to a local hospital, where he was placed in stable condition. On Thursday, police released surveillance video of the shooting, showing four masked suspects they say were armed with rifles and semi-automatic pistols.According to investigators, the suspects fired more than 60 shots before fleeing the area on Lansdowne Avenue. Anyone with information on this is urged to contact Philadelphia police or submit an anonymous tip online. Police say a 13-year-old and two 16-year-olds were all injured during a triple shooting in broad daylight on the streets of West Philadelphia.

SEATTLE - Dozens of boats were destroyed, and a man was arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire near Seattle's Ship Canal Bridge early Wednesday morning.Crews responded to a report of a boat storage facility fire at about 2 a.m. along Northeast Northlake Way.   (Seattle Fire Department)When firefighters arrived, a storage facility with several boats was burning and the warehouse next to it caught on fire. Officials previously stated 42 boats were destroyed, but units at the scene confirmed about 30 boats had burned. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and found no one inside the warehouse.

MEDIA, Pa. - New Jersey State Police say one of their own is missing and endangered after he was seen walking away from a health facility in Delaware County over the weekend. On March 19, just before 7 p.m., officials say Jason Dare, 46, was seen walking away from a healthy facility in Media, Pa.The Cumberland County man was observed on surveillance video leaving the facility on foot, near Route 352 and Yearsley Road near the Penn State Brandywine Campus.Police describe Dare as 6'0 tall, approximately 180 pounds with tattoos on his neck, arms, and hands. He was reportedly wearing a black Carhart jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and eyeglasses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Jersey State Police at 609-963-6993.

Palmer Township Police say they arrested a man for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student while he was a bus driver in Northampton County.

(Photo by John S Lander/LightRocket via Getty Images) A man was swimming off Hawaii’s Anaehoomalu Bay when he was attacked by a shark and managed to swim to safety, local authorities said. The swimmer, identified as a 62-year-old man from Utah, was swimming on Sunday approximately 200 yards offshore when a shark bit his left hand, according to a statement from the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.While trying to fight off the shark, the man felt another bite behind his left knee, the statement added.The swimmer proceeded to call out for help and was able to swim to a nearby vessel, whose crew took him to shore, officials said. The Hawaii County Fire Department met him on shore and took him to North Hawai‘i Community Hospital.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Tuesday evening. According to authorities, a 29-year-old man was found shot twice in the head in a Chrysler 200 parked in the area of S Cecil & Chestnut Streets. Police say the car was still running when officers arrived on scene and found the victim. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESChief Inspector Scott Small says one shell casing was discovered on the passenger side of the vehicle while another was discovered in the road beside the car. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials say. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say a man is injured after a person, posing as a solicitor for a solar power company, carjacked him at gunpoint in Lower Merion Township on Monday.  At around 5 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Wilshire Road in the Penn Wynne section of Lower Merion Township for reports of an armed carjacking. Police say the victim encountered a suspect in his driveway when he arrived home in his vehicle. The suspect posed as a solicitor for solar power and made conversation with the victim before the victim declined the services and began walking away.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - A 29-year-old woman accused of using false documents to enroll as a New Jersey high school student and attend some classes over a four-day period did so because she was lonely and longed to return to her days with friends in school, her lawyer said.The woman pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of providing a false government document. Her lawyer said she knows she made a mistake and has applied to enter a pretrial intervention program that eventually could lead to the charge being dismissed.

PHILADELPHIA - Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze that tore through a Philadelphia catholic school on Tuesday afternoon. Crews were called to Our Mother of Consolation Parish School near the intersection of Germantown and Chestnut Hill avenues just before 4 p.m.School officials said no one was hurt in the inferno that ripped through the building's roof. Investigators have not said what sparked the fire. Firefighters remained at the scene hours after the fire to extinguish hot spots.

TAMPA, Fla. - A suspect wearing a devil mask was arrested after trying to go inside a popular Tampa strip club with a gun, Tampa police said.The Tampa Police Department said 44-year-old Michael Rudman was seen by a security guard walking toward the entrance of Mons Venus with a gun in one hand and a flashlight in the other Sunday morning. He was wearing a black devil mask and the words "kill" and "darkk one" were on his arms, Tampa police said. RELATED: Watch: Fleeing burglary suspect hits Sarasota police officer with car and takes offA security guard at the venue saw the gun and knocked it out of Rudman's hand, according to TPD.During the incident, one round from Rudman's gun was fired which hit the front door of the venue, police said. Police say one man is critically injured after a daytime shooting in West Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that critically injured one man and wounded another in Southwest Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.Shortly after 1 p.m. police responded to the intersection of 54th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard for reports that two people had been shot. Responding officers say they located a 21-year-old man who had been shot seven times throughout his body.

Todd Merinuk, 27, of West Deptford, was arrested as part of an undercover child exploitation investigation.  MERCER COUNTY, N.J. - A New Jersey man is facing charges after he was arrested in an online child exploitation investigation. According to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, 27-year-old Todd Merinuk of West Deptford, New Jersey, was arrested as part of the investigation. Authorities say an undercover detective working with the prosecutor's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began chatting with Merinuk weeks ago. The detective was posing online as a 14-year-old girl, according to the prosecutor's office. Officials say Merinuk shared sexually explicit messages with the undercover officer, thinking it was a teenage girl, including a photo of male genitals. Authorities also say Merinuk arranged for an in-person meet-up with the girl to engage in sexual acts. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe prosecutor's office says on March 16, Merinuk sent a ride share to an address in Mercer County to pick up who he thought was the teenage girl, to transport her to Gloucester County. According to officials, Merinuk was taken into custody at his home without incident. He faces several charges, including attempted sexual assault, attempted endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted luring.

COLOMBO (News 1st); The body of one young man who was reported missing after going for a swim in the Ella-Wala Falls in Wellawaya was recovered on Tuesday (21) evening.However, three others who had gone with him for a swim remain missing.A group of ten young men had visited the Eella-Wala falls on Tuesday (21) morning for a swim.News 1st correspondents said that four of them were later reported missing.Following a massive search carried out by the locals and Sri Lanka Police, the body of one person was recovered.Search and rescue operations continued until late evening on Tuesday (21) to locate the three other missing men.The victims were identified as residents from Kalmunai.They were between the ages of 20 & 21.Several individuals who had visited this location had drowned earlier, and the most recent incident was reported in February 2022 when three lives were lost.According to locals, around 15 people had died after drowning at the Ella-Wala falls.
