The Foreign & Commonwealth Office has advised against all cruise ship holidays at sea. The UK Government advised all British people to avoid travelling on them in updated guidance on its website.

It said the new guidance was “due to the ongoing pandemic and is based on medical advice from Public Health England”. Advice issued by the FCO on March 12 said that British nationals aged 70 and above along with those who have underlying health conditions shouldn't travel on cruise ships The FCO said: “The Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises against cruise ship travel at this time. "This is due to the ongoing pandemic and is based on medical advice from Public Health England. “The government will continue to review its cruise ship travel advice
