BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - County leaders in Colorado said they mistakenly sent $238,000 to hackers after one of its vendors experienced a cyberattack. Boulder County said on its website that after its vendor was hacked, a spearfishing e-mail was sent to the county. Thinking it was the vendor itself, the county sent the check. However, it turned out the money was sent to a fraudulent account. Retirement accounts have become a popular target for cybercriminals looking to cash out."Although the county has safeguards in place to prevent these types of frauds from occurring, and we successfully thwart attacks by fraudsters several times a year, we did not catch this one in time to prevent the check from being cashed," County Administrator Jana Petersen said on the county’s website.

He then sent sexually explicit photos and asked the child to send similar photos to him.The conversation moved on to text messages, where he was explicit about what he wanted to do with the 12-year-old.

Leroy Evans emerged from the Delaware County Court House to deafening cheers of his supporters and the warm embrace of his wife.Attorney General Josh Shapiro made the announcement Friday about his office's Conviction Integrity Section's relief of Leroy Evans. It was November of 1980 when Emily Leo, selling Avon products, was bludgeoned to death in Chester. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating several shootings that left four people injured, three critically, early Friday morning. Police say the first shooting took place just after 1 a.m. on the 6100 block of Market Street. According to authorities, an 18-year-old was shot in the leg and was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was placed in stable condition. A 25-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body in the same shooting, officials say.

CENTER CITY - As more information comes to light regarding the Roxborough High School shooting, one thing is certain and that is too many kids are getting involved in crime across the area.One of the victims from that shooting had a connection to a carjacking case and kids as young as 14 keep getting arrested."The biggest thing is the lack of hope. PHILADELPHIA - A Pennsylvania House Committee on Thursday held a hearing on deadly gun violence plaguing Philadelphia, days after the city passed 400 homicides on the year.The "Select Committee on Restoring Law and Order" heard first-hand accounts from family members crime victims, including Nakisha Billa whose son was slain in 2021 at the Philadelphia Mills Mall."I want out," Billa said. "I don't feel safe, it's the trauma of losing Dominic on a regular day."Police say 21-year-old Dominic Billa was fatally shot near the orange entrance in late March when a fistfight escalated to gunfire.
