Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Families march to No 10 demanding Covid-19 inquiry and 'where Boris is hiding'

Grieving families who ­represent 1,200 coronavirus victims on Saturday marched on Downing Street to tell Boris Johnson: “You can’t keep ­running from us.” They accused the Prime Minister and Health Secretary Matt Hancock of ignoring their demand for a public inquiry into the Government’s ­handling of the pandemic.

More than 150,000 people have backed a petition by the Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK group calling for an immediate probe.

But they have yet to receive a reply from Mr Johnson and his team ­despite putting in their formal request a month ago. Members of the group held framed pictures of their loved ones at the iron gates protecting Boris’s residence.
