COLOMBO (News 1st); The export income of Sri Lanka’s Fisheries Exports for 2021 is on target to become the highest in history.According to the statistics made available by the end of November 2021, the export income of Fisheries Exports was US $ 287 Million, and the Balance of Trade was at US $ 171 Million, said State Minister Kanchana Wijeskera.According to the State Minister, the top gainer was the Prawn Industry which showed a 181% growth.Notably, Canned Fish imports have also dropped by 68%.According to the Ministry of Fisheries Sri Lanka exported 24,229 MT of fish and fishery products from January to November 2021 valued at US $ 287 Million.At the same time, Sri Lanka also imported 52,246 fish and fishery products valued at US $ 116.
