New outbreaks of Covid-19 in Spain could lead to more holidays being cancelled, travel experts have advised. The warning follows an increase in bookings for holidays abroad after restrictions were relaxed last week.
From July 10, people will be able to fly to Spain without needing to quarantine. Now tourism consultant firm Mirai has looked at the number of bookings cancelled in 13 popular Spanish destinations including Benidorm, Costa del Sol, Gran Canaria, Madrid and Tenerife.
Other destinations examined included Barcelona, the Costa Blanca, Catalonia coast, Almería coast, Costa de la Luz, Valencia, Mallorca and Lanzarote.
