Every Scots council's Covid infection rate updated as 8,210 new cases confirmed

Another 8,210 Covid cases have been confirmed in Scotland within the last 24 hours as the nation's virus death toll increased by 31.Data has been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.Nationally, there are 1,083 patients with the disease being treated in hospital which is down 33 from yesterday's reported figure.

There are currently 29 people being treated in ICUs.The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has rose by 454.
