England's opening ODI with South Africa has been postponed after a home player tested positive for coronavirus. The news broke just over an hour before the game was scheduled to start with neither side appearing at Newlands to even begin their warm ups.

It is unclear who the South African player is, but both teams and officials were tested on Thursday to ensure a clean bill of health before the ODI series started in the same way they were before the T20 series.

The first match of the ODI series will now take place on Sunday with a game squeezed in on Monday to help complete the series that finished on Wednesday.
