Education, quarantine, and mica scheme on Cabinet agenda

Proposals for a return to in-person education for third-level students are among the proposals being brought before Cabinet today.

Ministers will also discuss quarantine for those travelling from Britain and the damage caused to homes in the northwest by the mineral mica.

The Government's stated objective for students and staff attending higher and further education, as well as training and research, is to have a mainly onsite experience from September.

Minister for Further and Higher Education Simon Harris will bring his plan to Cabinet today, which specifies what will reopen at a minimum.
