Professional cricket will not be played in England or Wales until the end of may following discussions between the MCC and First-Class Counties and the Professional Cricketers' Association.
The decision comes as the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep across the UK, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling for clubs, pubs, and restaurants not to reopen after they close on Friday evening.
That move follows England's Test series against Sri Lanka being cancelled for the foreseeable future, with that series having been set to start on Thursday.
ECB chief executive Tom Harrison, said: "During this period of deep uncertainty it is the ECB's first priority to protect the wellbeing of everyone within the cricket family, from players to fans
