PRINCETON, N.J. - Authorities in New Jersey are searching for a man who allegedly tried to grab a teenage girl's buttocks as she entered her car. The Princeton Police Department said the incident happened Tuesday morning in the Franklin Avenue Parking Lot. According to police, the 17-year-old victim was entering her car when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her left leg in an apparent attempt to grab her buttocks. The suspect, described by police as a 5-foot-5 Hispanic man, fled south through the parking lot towards Princeton Cemetery.

DALLAS - A 21-year-old man who police said broke into the Dallas Museum of Art, destroying $5 million worth of ancient artifacts, reportedly said he did it because he was "mad at his girl."This happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, when a spokeswoman for the museum said someone "forcibly entered" the museum.Police later identified the suspect as Brian Hernandez, who was taken into custody shortly after leaving the scene.

MALVERN, Pa. - The Chester County District Attorney's Office on Thursday determined that an officer who shot and killed an armed woman during a wellness check at a townhome in Malvern last month was justified in using lethal force, according to a release. The investigation stems from an incident on the 800 block of Charleston Green on May 19. Officers from the Malvern Police Department were dispatched to a townhome just after 11 a.m.

WASHINGTON - The House is beginning to put its stamp on gun legislation in response to mass shootings in Texas and New York by 18-year-old assailants who used semi-automatic rifles to kill 31 people, including 19 children.The House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing Thursday to advance legislation that would raise the age limit for purchasing a semi-automatic centerfire rifle from 18 to 21. The bill would make it a federal offense to import, manufacture or possess large-capacity magazines and would create a grant program to buy back such magazines.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a man in Center City on Wednesday night. Officials say officers with the Philadelphia Police Department and SEPTA Transit Police responded to the area of N 17th Street and John F Kennedy Boulevard just after 11 p.m. According to police, officers found a 19-year-old man on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. SEPTA officers took the man to Jefferson Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, according to authorities. Police say the man was shot in each arm and in the thigh. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to officials, 15 spent shell casings were found on the scene. Authorities say they are looking for a dark-colored vehicle that was traveling south on N 17th Street when it passed the victim and opened fire, shooting more than 15 times. The Corner Bakery Cafe, which is near the crime scene, was struck several times by gunfire, per authorities. The windows of the Corner Bakery Cafe in Center City were hit by gunshots during a drive-by shooting that injured a 19-year-old.  AdvertisementPolice say they are still working to determine if there were multiple shooters.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a man who they say stabbed another person when a fight aboard a SEPTA train spilled onto the platform Wednesday night. A SEPTA spokesperson said the suspect and two younger men, believed to be teenagers, got into a fight on a Broad Street Line train. The fight continued onto the platform a Fairmount Station where police say the suspect stabbed one of the young men with a knife. The victim and the other young man fled the station, according to police.

PITTSTON TWP, Pa. - Police in Pittston Township, Pennsylvania are responding to an active shooter situation near a Walmart Supercenter, according to local reports. At least one person was shot outside the store, which is off State Route 315. The suspect remains at large, FOX 56 reported. Officials described the suspect as a Black man with dreadlocks, wearing a blue shirt with white lettering. Traffic in the area was shut down while authorities responded to the scene.
