The judge also rejected Musk's attempts to shield details about analyses he used in his attempt to terminate the deal.That work was done by data scientists who examined live-feed information from Twitter about public user accounts to test the company's daily-user counts.Musk claims that Twitter has failed to provide enough detail about the number of fake accounts on its platform, and argues that up to 30% of Twitter’s "monetizable daily active users," or mDAU, could be spam or bot accounts.

Twitter says the mDAU metric helps it measure the number of accounts on its platform that advertisers can target, thus making them "monetizable."Musk, the world’s richest man, agreed in April to buy Twitter and take it private, offering $54.20 a share and vowing to loosen the company’s policing of content and to root out fake accounts.

Four fuel ships reach Colombo Port; fuel to be unloaded from docked ships

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Four more fuel ships have reached the port of Colombo by Saturday (24).The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that two diesel ships, a petrol ship and a crude oil ship are anchored at the Port of Colombo.The Ministry also stated they will pay the relevant fees for the anchored ships promptly.Meanwhile, bulk unloading of fuel has begun from three ships which remained anchored at the Port of Colombo for several weeks after the recent payment.

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Chinese special cargo plane carrying essential medicines and medical equipment donated by China to Sri Lanka arrived on the island on Saturday (24).The duty manager of Bandaranaike International Airport stated that this special cargo plane arrived on the island from Beijing, China last night.China has made these donations in view of the issues and shortages experienced concerning essential medicines and medical equipment in Sri Lanka.

Imported rice safe: Health Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Ministry of Health says that tests have revealed that rice imported within the last few weeks was not contaminated.An official said that more than 120 samples of imported rice were sent for testing for the presence of heavy metals.Accordingly, it has been revealed that the 35 samples do not contain heavy metals.Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health stated that imported maize was also inspected for the same purpose.Test reports on remaining samples are pending.

One dead, one injured in Ahungalle shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) – One person has been killed and another injured following a shooting incident in Ahungalla Bogahapitiya area last night (23).Police said the victims were traveling in a three-wheeler at the time when they were shot.The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old male.The injured person has been hospitalised.Police stated that investigations have been initiated in this regard, and it has been revealed that a 12-bore firearm was used. Farmers project egg shortage; Minister not hopeful about poultry industry

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The President of All Ceylon Poultry Traders' Association, Ajith Gunasekara says that there may be a shortage of eggs in the future due to the decrease in the import of hens required for poultry farming.He said that currently, the hens owned by farms are also being sold for meat.The Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera also said that the importation of hens required for poultry production has been reduced from 80,000 to 10,000.The minister said that he is not hopeful about the future of the poultry industry under the current circumstances.Therefore he added that authorities are looking at short-term solutions such as providing the necessary animal feed to keep the poultry industry running and sustain it through means sourced from within the country rather than through imports.
