Zachary Herbst, Sheila Conway, Robert Sampson, Justin Conway STROUDSBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania man who was arrested for selling drugs to an undercover officer told police that he purchased fentanyl in Kensington to later resell in Monroe County, authorities said. Zachary Herbst, 26, was in a car with his mother, Sheila Conway, and two others when he allegedly sold five bags of heroin/fentanyl to an undercover officer outside a Wawa in Stroudsberg.The arrest follows a two-month investigation into Herbst during which authorities learned that he made frequent trips to Kensington and Paterson, New Jersey to buy drugs for resale. Kensington is over 100 miles away from Monroe County and the drive normally takes about two hours.

EAST FALLS - Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in East Falls that critically injured a 27-year-old man.Officials said the shooting happened on the 3200 block of Defense Terrace in Philadelphia’s East Falls neighborhood Thursday afternoon, about 4:45.39th District officers responded, finding that a 27-year-old man who had been shot twice in the head and two times in the leg was taken to Temple University Hospital in a private vehicle and placed in critical condition.MORE HEADLINES:The second victim, a 29-year-old man, was also taken to Temple in a private vehicle, having been shot in the butt four times. NORTH DIGHTON, Mass. - FBI agents arrested Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira at a home in North Dighton, Massachusetts, on Thursday in relation to a trove of classified documents that have been leaked online in recent months. Police vehicles were seen at a Massachusetts location believed to be connected with the guardsman. The guardsman's security clearance and access to classified government systems have been revoked, according to an internal government document reviewed by Fox News.The guardsman worked on military intelligence systems on a full-time basis, Fox News is told.The National Guard said in a statement it is aware Thursday of the "alleged role a Massachusetts Air National Guardsman may have played in the recent leak of highly-classified documents" from the Pentagon."The National Guard takes this issue very seriously and will support investigators," the National Guard said in a statement.

BOISE, Idaho - Melanie Gibb, the former best friend of Lori Vallow, the so-called "Doomsday mom" who's accused of killing her two youngest children," is testifying in an Idaho courtroom on Thursday. The focus in court on April 12 shifted to the relationship between Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell. A captain in the Madison County Jail who manages the jail's Telmate system for inmates took the stand, and the jury heard a call between the couple that took place in June 2020, as Fremont County Sheriff's deputies and the FBI searched Daybell's property.In the call, Vallow can be heard asking if they are seizing stuff, and Daybell replied that authorities were searching.Cameras are not permitted in the courtroom, but you can listen to the audio.

Florida on Wednesday led to the first Flash Flood Emergency on record in Broward County, as the extent of the historic flooding in Fort Lauderdale was seen in drone video that showed numerous cars that had been submerged and destroyed by the rapidly rising water.According to the National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center, more than 25 inches of rain fell in the Fort Lauderdale area on Wednesday. Once confirmed by the NWS, this event would set a new 24-hour statewide rain record.The previous record of 23.28 inches of rain in a 24-hour period was reported in Key West, Florida.Drone video recorded in Fort Lauderdale shows numerous cars left abandoned and submerged in the rapidly rising floodwaters along what would typically be a busy street.Streets and cars were underwater, buildings flooded, and travelers could not get in or out of Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and the rain is expected to continue on Thursday.

The agency cautioned that dry, windy conditions similar to those in New Jersey were increasing the danger of forest fires elsewhere, too.The blaze in Manchester, near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, forced the evacuation of around 170 homes late Tuesday, with police and fire officials going door-to-door to ask people to take temporary shelter at a nearby high school.

PHILADELPHIA - A death investigation is underway after the body of a dead man was discovered in Philadelphia. According to police, the body was recovered from the Delaware River in the area of Christopher Columbus Boulevard and Race Street just after 8 a.m. on Thursday. Officials say a man in his 30s, currently being identified as a John Doe, was found unresponsive. Authorities say he had a gunshot wound to the right side of his head. He was pronounced dead by medics on scene, according to law enforcement. This is a developing story.

HORSHAM, Pa. - A Montgomery County family has been left in shambles after officials say an 11-year-old boy was killed by his own mother, who then tried to drive her car into the ocean at the Jersey Shore.Police were called to a house 500 block of Privet Road in Horsham Township Tuesday when a man said he discovered his son dead in the master bedroom.The boy's dad told police the 11-year-old had slept in bed with his mom the night prior, but the door was locked the next morning, and his wife's car was missing.Officials say an investigation revealed that the boy's mom, identified as 50-year-old Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, killed her son as he slept in her bed.MORE HEADLINES:She then fled to Cape May and drove into the ocean until her car was inoperable. Texas lake quickly turned into a rescue mission when witnesses noticed a woman trapped inside the vehicle.The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported that it received a call from a fisher on Friday morning who said he noticed a black Jeep underwater about 40 feet from shore at Lake o’ the Pines in east Texas.Photos released from the sheriff’s office show the vehicle almost completely submerged underwater with only a small portion of its roof visible above the surface of the lake.Deputies arrived on the scene, followed shortly behind by a local wrecker service brought in to haul the Jeep back to land. They said that the symptoms of conjunctivitis include tearing, or watery eyes, redness, swelling, pain or irritation, itching, and discharge.

HUNTING PARK - Philadelphia fire crews battled a three-alarm fire that broke out in a junkyard on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the fire erupted on the 500 block of West Annsbury Street in the city's Hunting Park section. SKYFOX flew over the fire, which sent plumes of smoke into the air of nearby streets. According to the Philadelphia Fire Department, drivers were asked to avoid the area of 5th and Hutchinson Streets.MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe fire was raised to two and then three alarms, requiring additional crews to respond. There was so much smoke, officials said, smoke alarms went off inside nearby homes.A fire broke out at a Hunting Park junkyard, quickly escalating to three-alarms, with 120 firefighters reporting to fight the blaze.In an update late Wednesday afternoon, fire officials announced one civilian injury, due to smoke inhalation. That person was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover, noting the injury was minor.SKYFOX over a junkyard in Hunting Park, where fire crews are actively working to extinguish flames.They went on to say the junkyard was an all-automobile junkyard.

RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Police say investigators found a body believed to be connected to the disappearance of Seattle woman Leticia Martinez, who was last seen March 31 at a Mariners game.Police will not confirm that it is Martinez' body, but say the remains were found in a wooded area between Talbot Rd. and State Route 167 in Renton.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - A high-speed police chase took a dangerous turn in Los Angeles County Wednesday evening.A man, initially wanted for reckless driving, led the California Highway Patrol on a chase along the 5 Freeway across Los Angeles County. Over the course of the chase, the suspect traveled through parts of Valley Village, North Hollywood, Pacoima, Santa Clarita and Castaic.The chase eventually ended in the North Antelope Valley area where the suspect ditched the car.

Matthew Pasek said it was found in a rock – the first time in NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A Florida professor says the discovery of fossilized lightning led to the formation of a new material that's never before discovered until now. After lightning struck a tree in a New Port Richey, Florida, neighborhood, geoscientist Matthew Pasek found the strike led to the formation of a new phosphorus material in a rock and could represent a member of a new mineral group. "We have never seen this material occur naturally on Earth – minerals similar to it can be found in meteorites and space, but we've never seen this exact material anywhere," Pasek said. The University of South Florida professor recently published his study in Communications Earth & Environment.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Two Chester County women have been arrested for stealing $450,000 from their employer, Chester County officials said.The announcement came Wednesday from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, saying 22-year-old West Chester resident Mikayla Zeigler and 25-year-old Danielle King, of Chadds Ford, reportedly stole $450,000 from their employer, a doctor in West Chester, between October 2020 and August 2021.In addition, the two are charged with trying to sell items, valued at over $1 million, that belonged to the doctor.Officials outlined an extensive scheme by the women, stealing from the doctor and spending that money on themselves.According to officials, King and Zeigler convinced the victim to use an electronic banking system, which allowed them access to accounts of the victim and his businesses. They worked in positions where they had control over banking and access to checks, debit cards, credit cards and account numbers.MORE HEADLINES:The two women left their jobs suddenly August 25, 2021.The doctor took note of a large amount of money he thought was stolen from various bank and credit card accounts and alerted Chester County detectives in September of 2021.Authorities said detectives found the defendants stole $256,950.88 through 80 unauthorized payments from four of the victim’s bank accounts.The women then allegedly put the money into their bank accounts, Paypal accounts, Applecard accounts and car and student loan payments, between January and August 2021.The women are also accused of stealing $108,302.00 from January through August 2021, using credit cards.

BRANDON, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for help identifying a man and a woman accused of attacking a driver who, witnesses said, hit their car and drove away on a Tampa-area roadway.Troopers say the pair got into a minor crash with a 31-year-old Brandon woman on Tuesday around 5 p.m. at the intersection of US 301 and Martin Luther King Boulevard. In video posted on social media, the man and the woman can be seen attacking a 2019 Chevy sedan.
