Daniel Craig Tests Positive for COVID-19, Performances of Broadway's 'Macbeth' Are Canceled

Daniel Craig has tested positive for COVID-19. The 54-year-old actor is currently starring on Broadway opposite Ruth Negga in a production of Macbeth and performances have been canceled for Saturday (April 2).

The announcement happened less than two hours before the matinee performance on Saturday. Click inside to read the statement… “Today’s matinee and evening performance of MACBETH are cancelled due to Daniel Craig just testing positive for COVID this afternoon,” the producers said in a statement. “We apologize for the inconvenience this causes ticket holders, but the safety of our audiences, the cast and crew remains our top priority.

All tickets for the cancelled performance will be refunded at the point of purchase.” Preview performances began on March 29 and the play is scheduled to have its official opening on April 28.
