PHILADELPHIA - The Bucks County District Attorney's Office, police in Falls Township and law enforcement in Philadelphia are investigating the death of a 72-year-old woman found dead early Monday morning.

Philadelphia police officers found the 72-year-old woman dead when responding to the 4300 block of Waln Street around 1 a.m.

Monday.Investigators say the woman was struck several times by gunfire throughout the body, and pronounced dead on scene. MORE HEADLINES:According to the Bucks County DA's Office, the woman, later identified as Carol J.

Clark, was allegedly murdered by her son, 28-year-old Sean Rivera of Falls Township. Authorities say the investigation began Sunday afternoon for a report of a domestic dispute between two brothers, who were arguing about Clark's whereabouts.

Body burned beyond recognition found in backseat of vehicle after car fire in Oxford Circle, authorities say

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating after a body was found in the back seat of a burning car early Tuesday morning. According to officials, police responded to a car fire in the area of Sylvester and Howell Streets in the Oxford Circle section of the city just before 1 a.m. Police say officers and medics arrived on scene to find a Honda CRV fully engulfed in flames. Once the fire department put out the flames, authorities say they realized there was a body in the back seat. The individual in the back seat was pronounced dead shortly after, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small, who says the body was burned beyond recognition. PHILADELPHIA - A local mother is speaking out against a Philadelphia daycare after she says her 6-year-old son was left alone on a school bus and had to find his way back into the building. Terralyn Jackson told FOX 29 that her son, Zaadyn, was picked up from school on Friday for an after school program at the Rock Foundation Early Learning Academy in West Oak Lane. Zaadyn ended up falling asleep on the bus during transit and when the bus arrived at the daycare, he was left behind for approximately 15-17 minutes, Jackson said. Zaadyn said he was awoken by the unseasonably warm temperatures that climbed into the mid-80s on Friday, and he found his way off the bus and through the daycare's front gate. Chester calls on Pennsylvania leaders for help as city navigates turbulent financial struggles

CHESTER, Pa. - The mayor of Chester called on state leaders in Harrisburg to dip into a multi-billion dollar rainy day fund to help the decades-long financially-strapped suburb of Philadelphia. Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland and members of city council will head to Pennsylvania's capitol in hopes to hammer out a plan to get $8 billion directed to Chester.The city of more than 32,000 has been designated a "financially stressed municipality" since 1997, and some believe it's in danger of becoming disincorporated and divided. As Chester tries to navigate turbulent financial waters, Mayor Kirkland claims the state-appointed receiver keeps preventing local solutions to Chester's money woes. One of those proposed solutions involves a plan to sell Chester's water system to Aqua PA for $440M. SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. - A 14-year-old boy was found behind the wheel of a pickup truck that police say caused five cars to crash, sending six people to the hospital over the weekend.Several cars were stopped at Coastal Highway and Slaughter Beach Road for flashing red lights when the truck crashed into the last car in the line.The collision caused a chain reaction, propelling each car forward, until all five were crashed on the highway.Police say a 14-year-old boy was driving the truck, and that alcohol was detected on his breath. LOS ANGELES - An alleged assault suspect who led California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit from the Antelope Valley to the West Los Angeles area Monday morning has been taken into custody. The driver is wanted for allegedly running over a sheriff's deputy foot during a traffic stop. The pursuit began in the Antelope Valley to the 14 Freeway. The driver was seen at one point going off-road and reaching speeds upwards of 80 mph on the southbound 405 Freeway approaching the Sepulveda Pass.
