PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say they are looking for a group of suspects caught on video before a man was shot and killed on Kelly Drive earlier this month.The victim, 30-year-old Taion Carter, died after he was reportedly shot once in the back of the head on the 2400 block of Kelly Drive on July 16.Witnesses told police they heard gunshots, then saw what appeared to be two teenage males jump in a car and flee the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.New video released by police shows several cars performing illegal maneuvers in a nearby parking lot around 6 a.m. Police say the group and the victim got into an altercation, which led to the fatal shooting.The suspects in the video are being sought by police in connection to the homicide.One of the vehicle seen in the video is a blue 2013 Dodge Charger with a black front end, black rims and Pennsylvania tag LSM-6861.Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-8477. 

PHILADELPHIA - A shooting in North Philadelphia left one man injured after police say gunfire erupted early Monday morning.The victim reportedly drove himself to the hospital after being shot twice, once in the arm and once in the ankle.A vehicle parked outside the hospital had several bullet holes in the body and window, as well as at least one window completely shattered.Police say at least 20 shell casings were found at the scene on the 1100 block of Stiles Street around 1:13 a.m. No information about suspects or motive were made available.

UPPER MACUNGIE, Pa. - A Pennsylvania man has died days after he was found with a pet snake wrapped around his neck inside his home in Lehigh County.Police responded to the 1400 block of Church Street in Upper Macungie on July 20 for reports of a man in cardiac arrest.Elliot Senseman, 27, was found on lying on the floor with mid-section of 18-foot snake around his neck, according to police. An officer shot the snake in the head, and pulled the man to safety.Senseman was transported to a local hospital where he died four days later from anoxic brain injury due to asphyxiation by constriction, according to the coroner's office."I’ve been doing this job for 19 years and this is the first time I’ve seen anything like this," Lieutenant Peter Nickischer said.Authorities say the snake was the man's pet and several other snake enclosures were found inside the home.

PHILADELPHIA - A 13-year-old girl who was shot in the face Friday night was a witness to the brutal traffic cone attack that killed a 73-year-old man last month, according to sources with Philadelphia police.The girl was shot in the back of the right ear on the 5800 block of Osceola Street around 6:45pm July 22nd. The bullet traveled through her jaw, according to police.

DEWEY BEACH, Del. - A ride-share turned tragic for a group of friends as a chaotic scene unfolded on a Delaware highway early Sunday morning.Delaware State Police say the incident began when six friends hired a ride-share driver to pick them up around 1:44 a.m. On their way to a home in Bethany Beach, a disagreement reportedly erupted between the group and the driver. The driver then stopped on Route 1 and demanded the group get out of the vehicle, according to police.As the group exited the vehicle, police say a car hit one of the friends trying to avoid the ride-share vehicle.

GREENSBURG, Pa. - A judge has ruled that prosecutors will be allowed to seek a first-degree murder conviction against a man accused of killing a sleeping woman by firing several shots into a western Pennsylvania home in the mistaken belief that someone inside was part of a botched drug deal.Nathan Quidetto, 23, of Unity, is charged in Westmoreland County with criminal homicide, reckless endangerment and weapons offenses in the July 2020 death of 52-year-old Tracy Marie Squib.State police allege that Quidetto wanted to scare someone involved in the botched drug deal but drove to the wrong house — "not even close to being at the right house," a police spokesman said — and fired several shots at the home around 4 a.m., hitting Squib, who was sleeping inside along with her husband and two children.Defense attorney Emily Smarto argued there was no evidence that Quidetto intended to kill Squib and argued that the first-degree murder count should be dismissed, but the Tribune-Review reports that the judge disagreed.Common Pleas Court Judge Tim Krieger said defendants can be convicted of murder "where the commonwealth proves that the only difference between the intended result and the actual result is the person harmed."Krieger also rejected a separate defense attempt to bar prosecutors from using Quidetto’s statements to investigators.

CROWELL, Texas - A North Texas wind farm is one turbine down thanks to what officials believe was a devastating lightning strike to one of the massive structures on Friday afternoon.Videos from witnesses and firefighters showed the wind turbine generator ablaze and disintegrate in the sky over Crowell, Texas.Doppler radar indicated there was plenty of lightning strikes around the Foard City wind facility before firefighters received the call about the high-altitude fire.Lightning struck a wind turbine on Friday afternoon in Crowell, Texas.HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER ON TVCrews with the Crowell Volunteer Fire Department responded, but Fire Chief Perry Shaw said there was little his firefighters could do to put the fire out."We’re not equipped to handle that kind of fire. MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. - A prosecutor says a state trooper was justified in shooting and killing an armed man during a traffic stop following a reported theft from a western Pennsylvania mall.Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh said Friday that an investigation "unequivocally" concluded that the unnamed trooper reasonably believed that deadly force was needed to prevent death or serious injury to himself.Walsh said the trooper fired seven shots at Dennis Fonoimoana, 26, of Burgettstown, hitting him five times after he brandished a firearm.Police said troopers were called to the Washington County mall May 22 after a store reported a retail theft. Police said the suspects' vehicle was spotted and stopped minutes later in Mount Pleasant Township and the driver was taken into custody, but a passenger refused to leave.Walsh said the passenger, Fonoimoana, refused to comply with commands to show the trooper his hands, and the trooper believed he heard the rack of a gun and then saw a gun in the man's hand.
