NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Investigators say small amounts of fentanyl and heroin were found during further testing of THC products seized from three Pennsylvania smoke shops following two non-fatal overdoses.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele on Friday called an emergency press conference to warn the public about Strictly Delta brand of ‘Delta 8 THC 600 MG Happy Cubes’ sold at Tobacco Hut stores that may be tainted with illicit drugs. "Urb Extrax" and "Pinewood Coned," which were also sold at the stores, tested positive for fentanyl, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Authorities launched an investigation into the Tobacco Hut after two people who consumed tainted THC gummies overdosed on fentanyl and recovered.

Authorities in Montgomery County are warning of THC gummies tainted with heroin and fentanyl after two non-fatal overdoses were traced back to three county tobacco stores."Individuals should not consume any flavors of these Strictly Delta brand of CBD gummies, if anyone has any of these gummies, do not eat them," DA Steele said at Friday's press conference.The products were seized for testing during a search warrant executed last Thursday night.

Mayfair hazmat: Man dies, woman and baby taken to hospital after exposure to 'white powdery substance'

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments responded to a home in Philadelphia for a hazmat situation believed to be caused by drugs. Authorities say around 2:35 a.m. on Friday, the fire department responded to a report of an unresponsive man in the basement of a property on the 4000 block of Teesdale Street. Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, and the basement were covered in a white powdery substance. Medics pronounced the man dead on scene and police were called in, according to officials. Fire and police officials held a press conference at the scene on Friday afternoon to provide an update on the investigation. Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw says a 22-year-old woman and a six-month-old baby were transported Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital for medical treatment due to exposure to the substance.

DA: THC gummies sold at Montgomery County tobacco stores test positive for heroin, fentanyl

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Authorities in Montgomery County are warning of THC gummies tainted with heroin and fentanyl after two non-fatal overdoses were traced back to three county tobacco stores. District Attorney Kevin Steele and police chiefs from Montgomery Township, Hatfield Township and Whitpain Township abruptly called a Friday morning press conference to warn the public.Investigators say heroin and fentanyl were found in some of the Strictly Delta brand of ‘Delta 8 THC 600 MG Happy Cubes’ sold at three Tobacco Hut stores in Montgomery County. "Urb Extrax" and "Pinewood Coned," which were also sold at the stores, tested positive for fentanyl, according to the District Attorney's Office.MORE LOCAL HEADLINES"Individuals should not consume any flavors of these Strictly Delta brand of CBD gummies, if anyone has any of these gummies, do not eat them," DA Steele said. Undercover detectives went to the Tobacco Hut store after two people who consumed products sold at the store overdosed and recovered, according to authorities. Several flavors of Delta 8 THC 600 MG Happy Cubes were purchased by detectives and later tested for illegal drugs. Authorities say ‘Juicy Pineapple’ tested positive for fentanyl and ‘Blue Lemonade’ was found to contain heroin, fentanyl and methyl fentanyl. District Attorney Kevin Steele said the gummies tested positive for fentanyl and heroin.
