Cruel trolls falsely claimed Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding had died in a sick online hoax. Concerns had been growing for the singer, who found fame in the girl band in 2002, after people began leaving "RIP" messages on her Instagram posts.
But a friend of Sarah's told Mirror Online that she's fine. The disgusting messages appear to have begun on April 1 when someone took to Twitter to post an "RIP Sarah Harding" tweet.
It is not known why the vicious rumour was started, but it could be due to the fact that the star has not been seen in public for a while.
Sarah, 38, joined the pop group with Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts in 2002 after auditioning for ITV reality show Popstars: The Rivals.
