A huge crowd of "covidiots" flouted the coronavirus lockdown rules to watch an organised street fight next to a pub. Dozens of spectators were filmed screaming and shouting as two men, wearing boxing gloves, scrapped in broad daylight in Walker, Newcastle, on Friday, Chronicle Live reports.
In the clip, fight-goers move around outside the Crockets Hotel, with some 12 vehicles parked up outside including a lorry which is acting as a makeshift stand for spectators.
The fight, which was streamed on Facebook Live, sees a self-styled boxer smack his rival down to the ground. Scores of youngsters, holding up their phones, then rush towards the winner to celebrate – with some flouting social distancing rules to hug him.
