New vaccine passport rules are coming into force in Scotland from today. People will be required to show proof of full vaccination to gain entry to nightclubs and large events, in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus and boost vaccine take up.

The Scottish government initially introduced the measures from October 1, but there was a grace period of 18 days after backlash from business owners, along with issues with the new app.

Now the vaccine pass will be needed to access nightclubs, strip clubs and unseated indoor events with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor events with over 4,000 and any event with more than 10,000 people.
