A leading scientist has warned some Covid restrictions may need to be reintroduced as the UK experiences some of the highest infection rates of the pandemic.
Prof Neil Ferguson, one of the architects of the first lockdown, said that while another lockdown was unlikely 'there may be a Plan B which needs to be implemented, which involves some rolling back of measures'.
And Prof Ferguson also explained why the UK has a higher rate of Covid infections then other European nations.
