Boris Johnson is on the verge of announcing how the lockdown in England will be lifted and when. In the next couple of days he will review the first concrete data about the impact of vaccines on Covid cases, hospital admissions and deaths.
A blueprint timetable has emerged that suggests pubs will be open by late April along with some sporting venue. Entertainment venues will follow suit in early May, reports Sky News.
School pupils are widely expected to return to the classroom on March 8, under plans for a gradual exit out of lockdown. The timetable devised by officials has not yet been signed off by the Prime Minister, it is understood, and will be reliant on the continuing decline in Covid across the country.
