Covid in Scotland LIVE as ScotRail services to return to normal after Omicron disruption

A review is set to be launched after four children were given Covid vaccine overdoses of more than twice the approved amount.

It is believed the youngsters were aged between five and 11, and were clinically vulnerable. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the probe into the overdoses yesterday.

Sturgeon said: "We have already been assured that the error was quickly identified, reported and actions were put in place to ensure that affected parents were fully informed of what had happened."It comes as the temporary timetable introduced by ScotRail as it faced staff shortages amid the rapid spread of Omicron will end after the weekend.The train operator will return to its pre-Christmas timetable on Monday February 14, which delivers around 2,000 services a day.The Omicron variant had a significant impact on the train operator with more than 450 ScotRail staff absent at the peak of the wave, which had an impact on services.
