Perth and Kinross more than halved last week, according to data from Public Health Scotland. However, a further four people in the region died from the coronavirus according to the National Records of Scotland.It is the highest weekly death figure since late February and brings the total number of death certificates in the region that mention COVID-19 to 266 since the crisis began last year.Despite that, hopes will be high that deaths may have reached their peak this time around with case numbers continuing to tumble.The seven-day infection rate in Perth and Kinross dropped to its lowest level since early June.As of July 25, the rate was 133.6 per 100,000 the lowest since June 7.
