Covid-19 vaccine registration opens for 62-year-olds

People aged 62 can now register for a Covid-19 vaccine as the vaccination roll-out continues. As of 22 April, 1,317,165 doses of Covid vaccines had been administered in Ireland and of these, 934,980 were first doses and 382,185 were second shots.

A delivery of 165,000 Covid-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca, which had been delayed, is now expected to arrive next week. From today, those aged 62 can register for their vaccine on the Health Service Executive website or by calling the Covid-19 Helpline at 1850 24 1850. Latest coronavirus stories The HSE has said that people aged between 64 and 69, who have not yet registered, can continue to do so through the online portal or by phone.
