Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 192.67 crore. India's Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.

It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.

India crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4 and three crore on June 23. The 17 new fatalities include 13 from Kerala, 2 from Delhi and 1 each from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

A total of 5,24,507 deaths have been reported so far in the country, including 1,47,857 from Maharashtra, 69,630 from Kerala, 40,106 from Karnataka, 38,025 from Tamil Nadu, 26,203 from Delhi, 23,519 from Uttar Pradesh and 21,203 from West Bengal.

Teen critically injured in Philadelphia shootout to face charges amid search for more suspects

PHILADELPHIA - An 18-year-old who was critically injured in a gunfight over the weekend will be facing charges in the incident, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday. Khyseem Pratt, 18, was found lying in an alleyway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night in West Philadelphia. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where police said he had originally been listed in extremely critical condition. After further investigation, authorities say they learned from surveillance video that Pratt had been involved in a gunfight with several other people when he was shot. PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking into a case involving a woman who was reportedly lit on fire in Kensington. According to Chief Inspector Frank Vanore, police were made aware of the incident over the weekend. Authorities say they received a video and sent investigators to search for answers. According to Vanore, police believe the victim, an unidentified woman, was in a park with a man on the 1800 block of E Tioga when they got into an argument with another woman. Police say witnesses reported that the woman poured a liquid on the victim and the man before lighting it on fire. The man, who catches fire, runs from the scene, according to police.

PHILADELPHIA - A New York man who was captured on Ring doorbell camera violently punching three women on a sidewalk in Philadelphia will now face charges, according to authorities. According to police, the attack happened on the 2900 block of Morris Street around 11 p.m. on June 15. Authorities say as White walked beside a group of three women, he punched one of them in the face and punched the others as they intervened.
