Covid-19 hospital cases lowest since August last year

The number of cases of Covid-19 in hospitals has reduced to 191, the lowest number since early August last year. Of these, 26 patients are in ICU, a reduction of three on yesterday.

Official positive Covid-19 case numbers are now updated weekly, each Wednesday. There were 720 PCR confirmed cases reported today, along with 718 self-reported positive antigen tests.

On average, over the past seven days, there have been 571 PCR positive cases and 653 positive antigen tests, a day, reported.

The weekly updated official figures show there were seven Covid-19 deaths in the last week, to 22 May. These are deaths with a date of death in the week to 22 May.
