Coronavirus cases continue to rise in 13 areas across England as Boris Johnson gets ready to reveal his lockdown exit plan.

Infections are now dropping in 301 places across the country, statistics show - which equates to 96 per cent. But cases are still surging in 13 - or four per cent of - local authority locations week-on-week, according to new data.
One area remains unchanged. A further 12,057 coronavirus cases and 454 related deaths were reported in Britain today, while nearly 17million people have been vaccinated.
