The Department of Health has been notified of 1,345 new cases of Covid-19. There are 141 people with the virus in hospital. The number of patients in intensive care units is 25.

Daily case numbers may change due to future data review, validation and update. The figures have been released as the Government seeks data on the number of patients who are admitted to hospital due to Covid complications compared to those who test positive after being admitted for other reasons.

Meanwhile, indoor hospitality has resumed for the first time since last December, while so-called 'wet pubs' around the country, which were closed in March last year when Covid-19 restrictions came into effect, can also open their doors.
