Vaccine fraudsters exploiting the UK wide jab rollout have targeted two elderly women. Last week, two different scams were reported in Eston in North Yorkshire.

On Saturday, a man and woman entered the home of a 92-year-old, Chronicle Live reported. The OAP was led to believe the pair were from the NHS.

While she was distracted the duo grabbed money before fleeing her home. While the elderly lady was uninjured, she has been left shaken and confused.

Detectives are conducting house-to-house enquiries following the incident and are looking at CCTV in the area. A 76-year-old woman was also targeted by a fraudster offering a private vaccine for £100 on January 19.
