The UK's coronavirus death toll has increased by 61 over the past day in the lowest rise on a Saturday since lockdown was imposed.
It brings the total number of deaths in the country to 45,738. The number of new cases rose by 767, with the UK's overall count now standing at 298,681.
It comes after a further 25 coronavirus patients died in hospitals in England in the last 24 hours. This means the total number of confirmed Covid-19 deaths in hospitals has reached 29,272.
The latest hospital fatalities were aged between 52 and 93 years old and all had known underlying health conditions. Another eight deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
