Coronavirus staff in Matt Hancock’s constituency lounge in the sun as frustrated locals reveal their struggles booking tests.
One woman has been trying all week to arrange a test for her 10-year-old son at her nearest centre in Haverhill, Suffolk. Despite filling in the online form multiple times she has repeatedly been told no space was available.
But when the Mirror visited the testing centre on Thursday only a handful of cars arrived during a one-hour period. Staff could be seen reading, looking at their phones and chatting before they clocked off at 3.50pm.
The mum said: “Since my son fell poorly I have been trying near enough 24/7 to get a test. “The whole family has coronavirus symptoms but we can’t book one so we are still off school
