Coronavirus test centre in Maybole for people without symptoms to open next week as positive cases surge

Ayrshire town next week amidst rising case numbers.Health chiefs have confirmed that rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing will be available in Maybole for people with symptoms from next week.It comes after South Ayrshire was confirmed as the third highest infection rate across Scotland.Cases are currently 182 per 100,000 in South Ayrshire with a 5.3 per cent positivity rate.In Maybole seven positive cases have been identified between May 31 and June 6.The test centre will open at Maybole Town Hall between Monday, June 14 and Sunday, June 20 between 10am and 6pm.Residents who don’t have any of the three COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, high temperature, loss or change in sense of taste or smell) are encouraged to get tested.The.
