NHS Ayrshire and Arran hospitals has fallen for the first time in five days.But the deadly disease has claimed the lives of a further 12 people from Ayrshire, according to new Scottish Government statistics.Latest figures show 225 people are currently battling the disease in hospitals within the health board region.That's down 12 on the previous days number of 237.
And it's the first reduction since numbers dropped from 208 to 205 between January 15 and 16.However, there remain 16 people in intensive care - a record high.Newly reported cases of the disease rose by 116 with the regions total now at 12,493.Across Scotland, 83 coronavirus deaths have been reported bringing the nation's total to 5,557.However, National Records of Scotland data.
