Ayrshire has recorded a fall in the number of COVID-19 deaths for a fourth consecutive week.Latest figures from the National Records of Scotland show that 11 people in the region had coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate in the week beginning Monday, March 8 – a reduction of three on the previous week.Six deaths were recorded in North Ayrshire, three in East Ayrshire and and two in South Ayrshire.The number of deaths by the same measurement has steadily declined since 36 were recorded in the week commencing February 8.Meanwhile, data released this afternoon by the Scottish Government show a further two people in Ayrshire have died from the virus in the last 24 hours.A further 74 people have also tested positive for COVID-19,.
