A nurse who was fighting coronavirus on the frontline when she got really ill has been told she probably won't be able to work again.
Caroline Quinn, who was a registered nurse at Aintree hospital, was on the frontline, doing shifts on the wards to save the lives of Covid-19 patients in March.
The following month the hard-working mum-of-four became seriously ill and was soon admitted to Aintree as a patient after suffering relentless bouts of nausea, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Caroline, 41, from Walton, was diagnosed with gastroparesis and bowel dysmotility. She then suffered from re-feeding syndrome, a life-threatening condition when the body rejects foods.
