There is confusion at one of the largest second level schools in the country as to whether teachers there were deemed to have been in close contact with a Covid-19 case or not.
St Oliver's Community College in Drogheda was shut to more than half of its students after more than 30 of its teachers were alerted yesterday afternoon via the Covid-19 app and told that they were close contacts of a case of the virus.
They were advised to begin isolating immediately and to await a call from the HSE to arrange testing. While some teachers were tested this morning, one teacher has told RTÉ News they were contacted this afternoon by the HSE and told that a mistake has been made.
