Charli XCX has been under fire from her generally worshipful fanbase for the past 24 hours, since Afterparty — a March music and art festival in Las Vegas that requires all its attendees own one of 1,500 "Utopian" NFTs — announced her as a scheduled performer alongside The Chainsmokers, The Kid LAROI, and others.
This morning, Charli responded to the criticisms by tweeting a statement in two screenshots. "I've been grappling quite a lot with my mental health the past few months and obviously it makes negativity and criticism harder to handle when I come across it," she wrote.
