The person was treated as a result of "quick actions by numerous crews," they said."Feel like" temperatures in parts of Texas could reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit Thursday as an unseasonal heat wave strikes Texas and parts of the South.When leaving the facility, one of the paramedics from an outside agency also went into cardiac arrest.

Investigators later recovered the vehicle, a Tesla, but they are still looking for the driver and encouraged him to turn himself in.That's when police say the driver suddenly put the car in reverse and dragged the officer approximately 100 feet, then put the car in driver and dragged him another 100 feet forward. The officer was shaken from the vehicle and the driver fled the scene, according to police.

WASHINGTON - A suspect in the fatal shooting of a Kentucky teacher on Catholic University's campus has been arrested, D.C. Police Chief Ashan Benedict told FOX 5 Tuesday.After obtaining an arrest warrant, officers arrested22-year-old Jaime Maceo, of Northwest, D.C. He has been charged with first-degree murder while armed.Chandra Emerson, the mother of the victim, told FOX 5 that police notified her of the arrest.  "It helps to know that he is off the streets and the community is safer," she said.

PHILADELPHIA - One person is dead and another is in police custody after an incident involving two stolen cars in Philadelphia on Monday morning, officials say. According to authorities, police responded to the 7300 block of Hill Road in the Upper Roxborough section of the city. Police say they found an unidentified man, believed to be in his late teens, struck by another vehicle after the car he was driving crashed on the roadway. According to investigators, both cars were identified as stolen. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESMedics transported the man to Lankenau Hospital, where he was pronounced at 7 a.m., officials say. One person is in police custody, according to authorities. This is a developing story.

Parkesburg, Pa. - Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has charged a father-daughter duo in connection with the death of their wife and mother in Parkesburg. According to the Attorney General's Office, 38-year-old Kaci Nightingale and 76-year-old Richard Nightingale, both of Coatesville, are facing charges for the death of their 71-year-old family member who suffered from dementia, was nonverbal and could not get out of bed on her own. Authorities say both Nightingales were caregivers for the woman, who was found dead in a home on West Lincoln Highway in July 2021. When she was found, she was naked, covered by a blanket on a mattress without a bed frame and her body was found in "deplorable condition," the Attorney General's Office said. The woman was starved and found suffering from numerous untreated bedsores, according to officials. One of the bedsores was so severe and deep that it exposed bone, the AG's Office says. Authorities say an autopsy revealed the woman's cause of death was a stroke. MORE LOCAL HEADLINES"The facts of this case are extremely disturbing.
