The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say the second suspect in the stabbing deaths of 10 people in the province of Saskatchewan has been located and is in police custody.

Myles Sanderson is in custody, the fugitive’s brother and fellow suspect, Damien Sanderson, 30, was found dead Monday near the stabbing sites.The final suspect in a stabbing rampage that killed 10 people in and around a Canadian Indigenous reserve died of self-inflicted wounds after his car was run off the road by police Wednesday following a three-day manhunt, officials said.Myles Sanderson, 32, was found near the town of Rosthern in the province of Saskatchewan as officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle being driven by a man armed with a knife, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.Officers rammed Sanderson’s vehicle off the road, said an official who was familiar with the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to talk publicly.The official said the fugitive's injuries were self-inflicted, but he didn’t have further details on when the injuries were inflicted or when he died.Video and photos from the scene showed a white SUV off to the side of the road with police cars all around.

Air bags had deployed in the SUV. Some photos and video taken from a distance appeared to show Myles Sanderson being frisked.His death comes two days after the body of his brother, 30-year-old Damien Sanderson, was found in a field near the scene of their rampage, which also wounded 18 people.

Police are investigating whether Myles Sanderson killed his brother.Some family members of the victims arrived at the scene Wednesday, including Brian Burns, whose wife and son were killed."Now we can start to heal.

Sri Lanka central bank to hold rates as inflation worries persist

(Reuters) – Sri Lanka's central bank is likely to maintain interest rates on Thursday in an effort to get a grip on inflation which has remained stubbornly high despite a sharp contraction in the crisis-hit economy.Nine out of 14 economists and analysts polled by Reuters said they expect rates to remain unchanged as the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) waits for the effects of its earlier hikes to filter through to the economy and for inflation to stabilise as the economy cools."The pace of inflation appears to be slowing but it is also largely cost push inflation caused by depreciation and global commodity prices, which a rate hike would have limited impact on," said Dimantha Mathew, head of research for Colombo-based investment firm First Capital.The CBSL has raised rates by a record 950 basis points this year to battle high inflation which is adding to the country's economic woes.However, inflation has remained high, hitting a record peak of 68.9% in September with food inflation climbing to 93.7%.Sri Lanka's economy shrank 8.4% in the quarter through June from a year ago in one of the steepest declines seen in a three-month period, amid fertilizer and fuel shortages.
