California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on Wednesday that the state would form a multi-agency strike team to target businesses not complying with public health orders amid the alarming coronavirus spike.
Newsom made the announcement during a press conference in which he detailed how California would begin to once again clamp down on business operations in 19 counties — including Los Angeles — halting all indoor operations at establishments such as restaurants, theaters, wineries, zoos, museums and card rooms.
