PHILADELPHIA - A North Philadelphia man has been sentenced to nearly a decade in prison for making illegal explosives that authorities say were used in multiple attempts to blow up ATMs back in 2020. David Perez, 37, was sentenced to 110 months in prison, three years of supervised released, and also ordered to pay more than $100K in restitution for making and illegally possessing the M-1000 style devices. Perez had previously pled guilty to making the devices for several years prior to his arrest in June 2021. Authorities say devices ‘consistent with those made by Perez’ were located at ‘numerous post-blast scenes.’ Multiple incidents apparently involved attempts to access ATMs with the explosives in the summer and fall of 2020. Perez also admitted to using one of the devices on July 4, 2020 in the courtyard of a Philadelphia Elementary School.

PHILADELPHIA - The woman charged in the deaths of two Pennsylvania State Troopers and a pedestrian on I-95 in March 2022 is set to stand trial after she turned down a plea deal, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office confirmed to FOX 29. Jayana Tanae Webb was charged with third-degree murder, a charge that was dropped and later reinstated, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI and related charges in connection with the crash on March 21, 2022. Officials say the crash occurred just after 12:30 a.m. on I-95 in Philadelphia when Pennsylvania State Troopers Martin F.

Dio Garcia of Philadelphia was arrested in Bensalem.  BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Bensalem Township Police Department is touting the success of what they call proactive police work after an armed robbery suspect wanted in Philadelphia was arrested during a traffic stop in the Bucks County town. Authorities say on Tuesday, just before 10 a.m., patrol officers saw a 2013 Ford Edge commit a violation while going south on Route 1. According to police, the officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with 40-year-old Dio Garcia from Philadelphia. A check of the crime system revealed the car Garcia was driving was listed as a felony vehicle with an occupant wanted for a point-of-gun robbery, officials say. Police say Garcia was also wanted out of Florida on a warrant for a probation violation. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESGarcia was taken into police custody and the Ford Edge was towed by police, authorities say. After a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, a search led to the finding of a container of suspected marijuana and a loaded .40 caliber Beretta handgun, officials say. The gun, which was reported stolen out of Delaware, matched the description of the weapon used in the armed robbery in Philadelphia, per police. Police say Garcia faces several charges in Bensalem and Philadelphia Police are obtaining an arrest warrant for the gunpoint robbery. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Officials say two men are now wanted for the murder of a 25-year-old man who was found dead near the Schuylkill River Trail in Montgomery County last week.Arrest warrants have been issued for Cody Reed, 23, of Norristown, and Marquise Johnson, 23, of Philadelphia, for first-degree murder, robbery and related charges.The murder suspects are accused of killing Daquan Tucker, of Audubon, whose body was found by a bicyclist in a wooded area about 100 feet from the trail down a steep embankment. MORE HEADLINES:Officials say all three men knew each other, and met at Reed's home before walking the trail where the shooting took place. BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. - Several credit card skimmers discovered at local gas stations has prompted a police department to take further action to protect their citizens.Police say the skimmers were found on several gas station pumps at two separate locations in Penndel, a borough in Bucks County:No devices were found at a third location in town, according to authorities.MORE HEADLINES:Police say the source of the skimmers is not known at this time.
