Loosening restrictions in England does "not seem sensible" while cases of Covid-19 and hospitalisations are rising, a public health expert has warned.
Martin McKee told RTÉ's Morning Ireland that the key issue in reopening is whether numbers are going up or down. The Professor of European public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said that both the number of Covid cases and hospitalisations are increasing in England and across the UK at present.
