A British Airways pilot who battled coronavirus in a US hospital for eight months is finally back home, say reports. ABC News reports that despite the long and arduous fight with the disease international pilot Nicholas Synott soldiered on, with his wife at his bedside every single day.
The pilot, who is based in London, took one of his ordinary trips to Houston, USA, in March. After catching the virus he was hospitalised at U.T.
Health and Memorial Hermann Hospital and reportedly had to be placed on a ventilator. Speaking to local radio station KTRK, the doctors who worked on Mr Synott for months said he went into respiratory failure, was placed on a ventilator and then on a heart and lung machine.
