The Britain's Got Talent Christmas special was shut down this morning after at least three crew members tested positive for Covid-19.
The production was dramatically halted on the first day of filming for the one-off show, that was meant to air in December. Staff members were reportedly told not to turn up to work and those that had been in contact with the virus were told to self-isolate.
The BGT bosses have decided to postpone production, however it is unclear when filming may resume on the show. An insider has told The Sun that ITV bosses were taking no chances with the pandemic. “It’s the last thing Britain’s Got Talent bosses would have wanted on day one of the new production," a source told the publication.
