WASHINGTON - An American Airlines flight bound for Washington, D.C., had to divert to Raleigh, North Carolina, due to a "disruptive passenger" on board, officials said Wednesday. Agents from the FBI's Charlotte field office responded to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and removed the unruly traveler from the flight. The passenger, identified as Tiffany Miles, was initially charged with a misdemeanor related to the incident. According to authorities in North Carolina, those charged were later dismissed after a "review of eyewitness statements, plus in-depth consultation with the Wake County District Attorney, RDU law enforcement."RDU officials add that, despite the dismissal of the charges, federal agencies could take further action on the passenger.Envoy Air Flight 3444 originally took off from Jacksonville, Florida, at 2:32 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Mourners from across the Delaware Valley are preparing to gather in Philadelphia on Thursday to honor a fallen Temple University police officer killed in the line of duty nearly a week ago. Officer Chris Fitzgerald, a 31-year-old husband and father of five children, was on patrol alone when he came across three masked suspects and made efforts to apprehend them near 18th Street and Montgomery Avenue in North Philadelphia. ORLANDO, Fla. - A Central Florida television reporter who was killed while reporting at a murder scene in Orlando has been identified. On Thursday, Spectrum News 13 announced that its reporter Dylan Lyons, a Philadelphia native, was shot on Wednesday afternoon at the scene of a shooting in Pine Hills, Florida. Lyons died from his injuries and a second crew member, identified as photojournalist Jesse Walden, was also shot and critically injured. Jesse Walden Orange County deputies said the 19-year-old suspect, Keith Melvin Moses, also shot a mother and her 9-year-old daughter. The little girl has died.

PHILADELPHIA - The tight-knit running community that once embraced slain Temple police officer Chris Fitzgerald carried on their weekly run with a heavy heart. A group of avid runners gathered along Kelly Drive Wednesday for their weekly 5-mile-run without Officer Fitzgerald, who was shot to death during a struggle with a suspect Saturday night. Officer Fitzgerald was an active member of the Swagger House Run Club and the Philadelphia Chapter of Black Men Run. "It’s all about brotherhood, all about unity, it’s all about health," Lawrence Harrington from Black Men Run, Philadelphia told FOX 29. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe group took Wednesday night's run through four different parts of the city: Fairmount, Franklintown, Spring Garden and Sharswood. "We go through neighborhoods that need to see black men more active more healthy and more constructive," Vice Captain of Black Men Run, Philadelphia George Morse said. Officer Fitzgerald was an active member of the Swagger House Run Club and the Philadelphia Chapter of Black Men Run.  Joshua Perez, a fellow runner who will be a pall bearer at Officer Fitzgerald's funeral, said tonight's run was therapeutic for his grieving process. CALN TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Chester County District Attorney's Office is investigating a shooting involving police in Caln Township. According to authorities, the incident began on Wednesday morning just before 2 a.m. when police received information about a stolen vehicle being found in the parking lot of a Wawa in Downingtown.  (Caln Township Police Department)Officials say the suspect, identified as 56-year-old Richard Luminello, of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, who stole the vehicle, stole another car from the Wawa parking lot and fled from officers attempting to stop him from entering a nearby neighborhood. Police say a Caln Township officer was at the intersection of Westerham and Shelburne Road to put up stop strips when Luminello crashed into the officer's marked police car head on at a high rate of speed. SKYFOX flew over Caln Township, where a suspect was shot by police after crashing a stolen car into a police cruiser.  The stolen car hit the police cruiser so hard that it sent the cruiser backwards about 40 years, according to the District Attorney's Office. Authorities say the officer, who was behind the cruiser, had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit by the impact. As the stolen vehicle eventually came to a stop after the crash, Luminello got out of the car and began walking away from responding officers, per police. Officers shouted commands to Luminello as they approached him, officials say.

TRENTON - Prosecutors say two brothers are facing charges in a deadly stabbing that erupted during a basketball tournament that was being held at a popular arena in New Jersey's capitol. Investigators say a 23-year-old Khalil Glanton was stabbed multiple times when a large fight broke out in the concourse of CURE Insurance Arena Thursday night. Glanton, a Trenton resident, suffered stab wounds to the upper torso and was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Investigators reviewed video of the fight and interviewed witnesses to determine that two brothers, Kareem Finney, 25, and Kahli Finney, 20, were responsible for the deadly stabbing. Prosecutors say the older Finney brother held Glanton while Kahli "repeatedly stabbed him." The stabbing, according to prosecutors, may have stemmed from an ongoing feud over a woman.Both brothers were charged with first-degree murder and third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (AP) - Federal environmental regulators on Tuesday took charge of the cleanup from the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment and chemical burn and ordered Norfolk Southern to foot the bill.The Environmental Protection Agency told Norfolk Southern to take all available measures to clean up contaminated air and water, and also said the company would be required to reimburse the federal government for a new program to provide cleaning services for impacted residents and businesses.The EPA warned Norfolk Southern that if the company failed to comply with its order, the agency would perform the work itself and seek triple damages from the company."The Norfolk Southern train derailment has upended the lives of East Palestine families, and EPA’s order will ensure the company is held accountable for jeopardizing the health and safety of this community," EPA Administrator Michael S.

PHILADELPHIA - Shocking video captured the moment a store clerk was shot in the face after an argument escalated inside a Philadelphia grocery store over the weekend.Police say a woman pulled a gun on a security guard after she and a male suspect got into an argument with a store manager at the Save A Lot on Chew Avenue.The security guard quickly disarmed the woman, and escorted both suspects out of the store.MORE HEADLINES:However, both suspects were caught on camera rushing back to confront the manager, shooting him point-blank in the face, then fleeing.The store manage was left in critical condition.Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

He said an investigation was launched after a resident reported that an unidentified person showed up at their home saying they had been kidnapped. Deputies then responded to the area and discovered the victim with numerous lacerations to the face, body and arms.

Authorities later captured a suspect, identified as 18-year-old Miles Pfeffer, at his home in Buckingham Township, over 20 miles away from where the deadly shooting occurred. Pfeffer was transported to Philadelphia Police headquarters where he was charged with Murder, Homicide of Law Enforcement Officer, Evading Arrest, and related charges, according to police officials.
