Bonfire Night celebrations and firework displays in Manchester CANCELLED amid Covid-19 safety fears

Manchester's popular firework displays and bonfire night celebrations have officially been called off for another year. Eight free council-organised events won't take place this November, due to the current Government advice around large-scale events.

Manchester City Council said that the guidance around Covid-19 safety has made the events 'unworkable' and that the 'health of Manchester people has to come first'.
