Body of elderly woman 'on holiday' found dead for years in home after missing Covid jab

According to the Record, her husband told police she was on holiday.The woman's death is currently being treated as unexplained but experts estimate it happened years ago with no one reporting concern about her to the authorities during that time.An AGE Scotland spokesperson called the news "absolutely heartbreaking".Brian Sloan, chief executive of Age Scotland, said: “This is an absolutely heartbreaking case that should act as a reminder to all of us that we have an important role to play in looking out for older people in our communities."Isolation and loneliness are at record levels in Scotland after almost 12 months of lockdown and shielding but even before the Covid pandemic, we knew that 100,000 older people in.
