An Arkansas man discovered a 3.29-carat brown diamond at MURFREESBORO, Ark. - A regular visitor became one of the few lucky ones when he spotted a 3.29-carat brown diamond at Arkansas’s Crater of Diamonds State Park.

David Anderson, of Murfreesboro, discovered the gem over the weekend while wet-sifting soil from the West Drain of the park’s 37.5-acre diamond search area.Park rangers said it's the largest diamond found at the park this year and the largest since last September. "Once I picked it up, I realized it was a diamond!"Anderson said he first learned about the park while watching The Travel Channel in 2007.

He said he has discovered more than 400 diamonds over the past 16 years with 15 of them weighing over one carat. According to investigators, King was traveling west on Cheltenham Avenue when she turned into the shopping center and pulled into the Dunkin' drive-thru lane. Shortly after, a light-colored sedan, believed to possibly be a Ford or Mercury, was seen driving behind King's car and parked a short distance away from the drive-thru lane. A man got out of the vehicle, walked up to King's car and fired numerous shots through the driver's side window as King's 11-year-old son sat in the backseat, officials say.
